Handstreich was bred and graded in Germany. He is also a graded Danish Warmblood attaining highest marks for his trot paces. Judges quote: ‘A big elegant stallion with a beautiful head, well set neck, excellent shoulder, topline and quarters. Handstreich moves in trot and canter in cadence, elasticity and balance.’

| Handstreich is also graded in to the Danish Trakehner Society achieving supreme champion status. Judges quite: ‘Handstreich possesses nobility and calibre with an expressive head that radiates inner calmness. His movements are capacious, supple and in good balance. He is rhythmical in collected as well as extended paces.’ |

| In Britain Handstreich was graded as a Grade 1 stallion at the Trakehner Breeders Fraternity performance test in 1992. This test incorporates not only the horses ability for Dressage but also Show Jumping and Cross Country. In these two phases Handstreich showed he possessed a bold outlook with a very athletic scopey jump. Handstreich produces excellent offspring, which inherit his looks, substance and extravagant movement. He passes on his wonderful temperament and aptitude for work in all spheres. Handstreich has produced many graded stock both here and abroad, two of which took the championship at the British Warmblood Grading. |
