We have a vacancy for a Yard Stud Manager. The person will be responsible for the everyday handling of the stallions and youngstock including breaking, schooling and preparation for sale including presentation at shows. Experience of working with stallions is a pre requisite along with laboratory experience.
The yard is a mixture of Liveries, visiting mares and foals, ridden horses and schooling liveries alongside the stallions and young colts. In general there is also the usual mucking out and general grooms work. It would not be an 8 to 5 type job as flexibility around foaling and competition time is needed to ensure the yard has supervision 24 hours per day. The yard is always supervised.
Hours are negotiable but based arounf a 5 day week with weekend rota required so flexibility is important. Able to drive an HGV is an advantage as is owning your own vehicle as the yard is not easily accessible by public transport.

Outdoor arena hire. £10.00 an hour for the first two horses then £5 per extra horse. Enquire for day rates. If you are on your own and need assistance or you are show jumping just let us know. We are more than happy to assist you.
