NEWSFLASH - Phase 1 of Indoor school
Our indoor school has started with the foundations now completed. The steelwork is to arrive by police escort and is expected mid April 2008. The school should be completed by the end of May. The surface is world class having been used at the Horse of the Year Show. It will be re mixed to ensure the highest quality and being a waxed surface will ensure that the arena is dust free. The design of the indoor is such that you will not feel like you are riding in a barn but a very light and airy building which will make schooling your horse a pleasure. Watch this space.!
NEW PHOTOS UPLOADED... TAKE A PEEK!
25th January 2008 - Addington Manor Warm Up Premier League
We didnt make it down on the Friday as the winds were really high with wagons turning over everywhere. We decided it was not to be. Sam was to meet her mentor Maria Eilberg at Addington on the Saturday and so she was really disappointed. Me too as Two Sox was going to be there and he is an all time favourite of mine. Ah well another day.
Saturday the weather by late afternoon was better and we decided we would travel. We arrived at 10pm and got settled in for the night and straight to bed. Everyone had already gone to bed so were were very quiet.
Sunday morning Sam was on early however I had been up most of the night and felt really poorly. Sarah Hinchcliffe and Becky Moody to the rescue. Sarah tacked Caesar up. He is a bit of an escape artist so just as well otherwise he would have removed his bridle by the time Sam was ready. Becky was on hand for a quick few words of wisdom and then off she went to ride in. I could barely watch from the sidelines as I crawled from the wagon to the arena and quickly back again.
Sam and Caesar came a credible 3rd even though she thought the test was not one of their best. However the crowd did praise with applause and a kind gentleman came to say how fantastic he thought Caesar was and that he had the most amazing Canter. She was really pleased and proud that someone liked him enough to come over and tell her. Made her day.
We cant thank Sarah Hinchcliffe, Becky and Hannah Moody for their help that day. Poor Hannah got a desperate cry for help from a very poorly Mum and gave some much needed telephone support. So thank you all. We did however get to repay a small favour that very afternoon when Frank, the Moodys wagon, decided he didnt want to go home after all. Champers gave him a little boost though and off they went. Ah well we wonder what the next show brings...
SATURDAY 12TH JANURAY 2008
British Breeding Awards
We were invited to London to receive a special award at the Grange City Hotel by the British Equestrian Federation. LE Chiffre alias Peanut has been recognised as the Best British Bred Pony Foal during the futurity Series of 2007. We are overwhlmed by this award as this is our first pony foal from our Maiden broodmare Lily. Lily herself was awarded the Supreme Champion title at SPSS Grading and In Hand show in October 2007 and won her Broodmare class for the second year running.
Sam, our daughter, prepared all our mares and foals that day with the help of our two grooms and what a fantastic job they did. Both our pony broodmares took 1st and 2nd place, Lily was Show Supreme Champion and Peanut didnt disgrace himself either.
We ahve had such a fantastic breeding year in 2007 and have much more to offer in 2008. A lot of our mares are in foal with exciting prospects from Caesar to come again this year.
Lets hope we can make it back to London next year and collct another award.
It was such a fantastic evening and to be in the line up with all the top studs and the likes of Mary King and Pippa Funnel cllecting awards too. What an honour to be recognised for our achievments.
Thank you everyone who has supported us.
Some very exciting stllions for 2008 and whatever your breeding needs are we are here to help you achieve them.

TALENT SPOTTING FINAL - ADDINGTON MANOR BUCKS 20 AND 21ST OCTOBER 2007
CAESAR 171 ONCE AGAIN WAS OUT AT ADDINGTON AND LOVING IT. SAM AND CAESAR TOOK PART IN THE 2007 TALENT SPOTTING FINAL. AFTER A TENSE DAY AS SAM WAS FIRST IN IT WAS DOWN TO THE LAST FOUR TO SEE IF THEY MADE IT TO THE RIDE OFF. THE PONY RIDERS WERE OF SUCH A HIGH STANDARD THAT THE JUDGES PUT 3 THROUGH TO THE RIDE OFF CREATING MORE TENSION THAN WE COULD BEAR. WITH OVER 65 PONY RIDERS COMPETING FOR A PLACE AT THE FINAL WE ARE SO PROUD OF THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS. WE BROUGHT CAESAR BACK INTO WORK 4 WEEKS BEFORE THE REGIONAL TRIALS AFTER A YEAR OFF AT STUD. AFTER QUALIFYING WE DECIDED TO TAKE PART IN THE U25S AT SHEEPGATE. THEY WERE PLACED IN ALL THEIR CLASSES INCLUDING THE FEI PONY TEAM TESTS GAINING 7TH PLACE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP. AGAIN CAESAR WAS SHOWING HIS YOUNGER YEARS OF TALENT AND PROVING HE HADNT LOST HIS MOVES. THEY HAVE AGAIN DEVELOPED THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO TAKE 2ND PLACE AT THE TALENT SPOTTING FINAL WHERE WE WERE ABSOLUTELY ASTOUNDED AT THE LEVEL OF TALENT AND FABULOUS HORSES TAKING PART IN THIS COUNTRY. WE HAVE A BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD WITH THIS LEVEL OF QUALITY COMING THROUGH THE LEVELS AND ALL U25. WOW!
DHI TIGER LILY REIGNS SUPREME CHAMPION AT THE SPSS GRADING SHOW AT THE HEART OF ENGLAND IN STAFFS. LILY WOWED THE AUDIENCE WITH HER MOVES AND LE CHIFFRE ALIAS PEANUT SHOWED HIS COMBINED QUALITIES OF LILY AND CAESAR TRYING TO OUT DO HIS MUM. UNFORTUNATELY FOR HIM HE HAD TIRED HIMSELF FOR HIS CLASS BUT STILL MANAGED 2ND PLACE. LYNN CROWDEN OF WOODLANDER STUD COMMENTED THAT LILY WAS A SPORTS HORSE IN A PONY PACKAGE AND WE MUST AGREE. SHE IS THE SWEETEST MARE WITH MOVEMENT AND FEMINITY THAT TAKES YOUR BREATH AWAY.
